Mr.
Fashion

Voted as one of NBA's best dressed for a reason

My personal style reflects my character. Whatever the occasion is, I dress for the occasion. And however I feel, I just go with it.

Its no secret that Amar’e Stoudemire loves fashion.  He co-designed a line with Rachel Roy and has become a front-row fixture at many fashion events.  Stoudemire’s pride in his appearance is not purely fueled by vanity, for it affects his day-to-day life on and off the court.

Transformation of mind. One of the powers of fashion is that it can transform an individual’s state of mind. Dress like a professional businessman and you’re more likely to act like a professional businessman.

Self Discipline. From the Roman Legion to the United States Marine Corps, the world’s finest militaries have discovered that well dressed soldiers are more disciplined. Military dress inspections have persisted not because shiny boots win wars, but because the exercise teaches a military force to pay attention to the details. It’s in the details that battles are won.  Similarly, a well dressed person learns the value of self discipline.

Appreciation and respect. To be fashionable takes time;  Clothes must be ironed, shoes polished, and jackets brushed.  The person who has mastered this process has learned to appreciate and respect themselves.  Self-respect is the foundation of respecting others.
