At first, Miami Heat center Amar’e Stoudemire provided the easy answer.

When asked about his recent play, he quickly responded with a media-friendly reply.

“I took that wine bath when I was in New York,” he said, with a grin.

In reality, there has been nothing relaxing about how Stoudemire has been able to go from bench player to key contributor the past two weeks. He has averaged 8.6 points and 6.6 rebounds in 22 minutes during the past five games.

The adjustment has been more about staying in shape rather than wine baths that supposedly help his body relax and recover.
