Near the finale of summer hit movie “Trainwreck,” Bill Hader’s character must perform surgery on New York Knick Amar’e Stoudemire. In reality, Stoudemire had already moved on to the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat by the time the film reached theaters.

Regardless of which uniform he’s wearing or how much longer he’s wearing one at all, Stoudemire expects his career on camera to remain a constant.

In addition to his “Trainwreck” role, Stoudemire appeared in an episode of the television show “The Mindy Project” and the 2011 film “New Year’s Eve,” among other movies and shows. He also has producer credits for the 2014 drama “Beyond the Lights” and documentaries “The Village of Peace” and “Little Ballers.”
