The Miami Heat missed the postseason after the departure of LeBron James forced them to shake up the roster and Chris Bosh suffered a season ending medical issue. But Pat Riley and the Heat are retooling to make a run at contending for a championship.

With a core of Dwyane Wade, Goran Dragic, and Chris Bosh locked up, the team now looks to add effective role players, something that is absolutely crucial if a team is to contend for a spot in the NBA Finals. When it comes to adding role players, it is about fit more than anything else, and the Miami Heat have done an incredible job of finding a healthy mix of talent and fit in the players they have added.

Former All-Star Amar’e Stoudemire is the latest player to join the Heat, and the fit could not be more perfect. Stoudemire could be the piece that puts Miami over the top and back into legitimacy. Here are three reasons why Amar’e Stoudemire will thrive with this Miami Heat roster.
