Amar’e Stoudemire fans looking for a documentary on the All-Star forward will have to look no further. EPIX, a hybrid TV/subscription-on demand service, will provide fans with an in-depth look in to his life on and off the court, and his pursuit of a championship this season for the Knicks.

The timing on this couldn’t have been any more perfect as the documentary will premiere on April 19th, the day before the NBA Playoffs are set to start.

“We are excited to give fans a first person point-of-view of the journey and achievements of Stoudemire’s life and career,” said Mark Greenberg, EPIX CEO and President. “His story is inspiring to behold and one fans should not miss as the NBA Playoffs near.”

The documentary is produced by award-winning producer, Albie Hecht and Worldwide Biggies. Stoudemire’s documentary headlines a group of seven other docs that will air on Wednesdays at 8:00 pm ET. Also included in the series are documentaries from other various basketball players as well music pioneers like Rick Springfield and LCD Soundsystem lead singer, James Murphy.

“I’m looking forward to sharing my story with all my fans. This is a personal project and I’m thrilled to work with EPIX to bring this film to everyone,” said Amar’e.
