Amar’e joins a partnership that is in talks to buy Israeli basketball club Hapoel Jerusalem. Amar’e announced the partnership via his twitter handle.

Stoudemire’s relationship with his Jewish roots comes from his mother’s side. “I have been aware since my youth that I am a Hebrew through my mother, and that is something that has played a subtle but important role in my development,” Stoudemire said. Stoudemire is looking forward to “giving back to Jeruslaem.”
