Apart from training hard to get court ready and back into the surging Knicks line up as soon as possible, Amar’e Stoudemire is working off the court as well.

On Monday, December 3rd, Stoudemire and Iman Shumpert joined New York Knicks legend and MSG color commentator Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier, as they worked the phones at the headquarters of sports memorabilia experts Steiner Sports in New Rochelle, New York .

The players (and former player) spent their time taking orders from fans and answering their burning questions to earn money for various charities. A portion of all the sales they made in their ‘new careers’ will be donated to the charities of each player’s choice. They also answered some of the questions that fans had posted on the Steiner Sports Facebook page.

The afternoon gave some lucky callers the chance to speak to their heroes and help the players raise money at the same time.

Helping victims of Superstorm Sandy is something that all of the players on the New York Knicks have been heavily involved in from the start, with everyone pitching in and visiting and helping out in many of the affected communities by taking them much needed supplies and just putting some smiles on peoples faces in a really difficult time.

Stoudemire also was on hand to raise money during the 12.12.12 concert at MSG on Wednesday night.
