Wheels up from Beijing! I am on my way home from a great trip overseas. Spent my last few days getting the local flavor of the people and culture of Beijing by visiting the Chinese Street Market. I was starving, but there was no way I was messing with these.  They deep fry them here.  I am going to have to pass!

Check this out. This gives you a better idea as to why I had to pass on these “delicious” delicacies. They were serving scorpions, sea horses and silkworms!

More local eats… anyone interested in giant lizard, snake, silkworm larvae, black scorpion or a tarantula spider?  I think I am ready to land in LA and hit up In & Out burger!

I got some help sight seeing thanks to my new buddy, Xia. He pedaled me around the Hutongs (ancient alleys). Swag.

Last, but not least, I finally made it to the Great Wall. It is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.  It is an engineering wonder. It is more than 3000 miles long and was built over hundreds of years.

Thank you China for sharing your amazing country with me. I look forward to coming back. As for now it is time for me to get back to the states. I am looking forward to see my family and start taking my training to the next level. I am excited for the season and hopeful something will get worked out sooner than later. I am treating it like a regular seaosn and will be in top form by the end of October. One love.
